European Union Timber Regulation entered into force on 3 March 2013 (0 peržiūrų, 0 komentarų)
The EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) entered into force on 3 March 2013. Under the EUTR, EU operators are prohibited from placing illegally harvested timber and timber products on the EU market for the first time. Operators must also exercise due diligence to reduce the risk of illegal products being present in their supply chains. The EUTR also requires that traders who buy or sell timber and timber products already on the market maintain records relating to their suppliers and customers.

Södra raises price for softwood pulp (0 peržiūrų, 0 komentarų)
Södra's announced in a press release that the new price for softwood pulp is US$ 880 per tonne in Europe, effective from the 1 September 2013.
The global market balance for softwood pulp is good and has been so over the summer, says the company. Södra expects the market balance to improve even further during the autumn.
